Panel # 1- 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Panel #2- 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Lunch- 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Resume/Interviewing Tips- 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The event will be held in Taylor Hall 402 and 404 on the JMU campus.

Edelman Worldwide, the world’s largest independent public relations firm and PRWeek’s “2009 Public Relations Agency of the Year,” is coming to James Madison University on March 26th and 27th with their Digital 101 training sessions. Digital 101 is a “boot-camp” style training course aimed to educate students about the benefits of the ever-changing world of social media. Over the two days, students will engage in discussions and listen to Edelman speakers about social media, with a focus on public relations campaigns.

I have exciting news for JMU students who are interested in having a career in the field of public relations! The International Association for Business Communicators and JMU’s School of Communication is holding its 2nd Annual JMU Public Relations Symposium. This event offers the chance for JMU public relations students to meet with public relations professionals from both in and outside the city of Harrisonburg. PR professionals will speak about their working experience in today’s world of public relations, offer resume consultations, and answers any questions students may have about the field of PR.
The 2nd Annual JMU Public Relations Symposium will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009. I will keep you all updated with more information about the event as it becomes available! This will be a great opportunity for students to network with PR professionals and learn more about their post-graduation career choice.
